George G. Weickhardt

George G. Weickhardt received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College summa cum laude in 1966 and his J.D. from Harvard Law School magna cum laude in 1973. He is licensed to practice in California and has over 43 years of experience in banking, commercial and insurance litigation.   He has tried cases in the areas of consumer credit, consumer fraud, lender liability, antitrust, insurance bad faith, intellectual property, securities fraud and wrongful termination of employment.  He has argued numerous appeals in the California Court of Appeal, the Ninth Circuit and the U.S.Supreme Court.  Mr. Weickhardt is an expert in litigation involving consumer financial services, including credit cards, automotive finance and residential real estate loans, and has represented several of the largest issuers of credit cards in the United States. Mr. Weickhardt is also an expert in litigation involving retail and commercial banking, including negotiable instruments and letters of credit. He has also handled scores of insurance bad faith cases, including obtaining a defense verdict in a six-week trial against one of the most famous and successful plaintiffs’ lawyers in the bad faith area.
